Tier criteria

We score kits on:

• Consistency — can you land E reliably in chaos?
• Mobility — does Q get you out of third parties?
• Burst — R or E combos that secure eliminations (+5 Hits).
• Skill floor — how punishing is the kit on first unlock?

Most broken Ability Arena moveset showcase

S tier — meta staples

Psychic (350 Hits)

Psychic Slam on E lifts and slams twice — excellent setup for M1 finishers and third-party cleanup. Psychic Dash on Q escapes bad engages. One of the best Hit-to-power ratios in the game. Farm path: How to Earn Hits.

Lightning (250 Hits)

Lightning Strike on E is fast ranged damage. Q grants two teleports before cooldown — top-tier escape. R Lightning Power Up boosts speed and attack tempo for aggressive windows. Still strong after nerfs in many community lists.

The Hero (1,500 Hits)

Laser Eyes on E controls airspace. Q Dash repositions. R Super Punch is a fight-ending charge when paths are clear. High skill ceiling but S-tier payoff for patient grinders.

A tier — reliable picks

Fire (25 Hits)

Underrated because it unlocks early. Fireball knocks back; Fire Rage on Q boosts damage and attack speed. Many veterans warm up on Fire before swapping to Psychic. Listed on Beginner Picks for a reason.

Knight (1,350 Hits)

Knight Cut launches enemies — edge control synergy from Combat Tips. Knight Dash on Q is slower but Knight Block on R blocks most incoming damage during windows. Best defensive free kit.

Pirate (1,000 Hits)

Bomb on E, Pirate Dash on Q, Cannon on R — straightforward burst with ring-out potential. Competes with Beam at the same Hit cost; Pirate wins general PvP for most players.

Psychic-adjacent: Ninja (500 Hits)

Smoke Bomb on Q enables stealth repositioning. Sword Strike on E hits hard in skilled hands. Lower tier than Psychic for consistency but strong in ambush metas.

B tier — situational strong

Beam (1,000 Hits)

Trinity Burst and Big Beam reward aim and charge timing. Higher skill floor than Pirate; devastating when mastered on PC with Shift Lock.

Ice (150 Hits)

Ice Spear and Ice Slide excel at kiting. Falls off in crowded lobbies where tracking multiple dashes matters more than poke damage.

Brawler (750 Hits)

Downslam and Charge shine in close quarters. Vulnerable to kiting from Archer or Fire.

C tier — niche or outclassed

Archer (450 Hits)

Strong at range but struggles when rushed. Excellent on PC, harder on mobile — platform affects perceived tier.

Slime (550 Hits)

Slime Ball slows; Slimed boosts jump. Fun but outdamaged by Psychic and Lightning for the same playtime investment.

Retro Fighter (2,000 Hits)

Retro Fireball and Uppercut combo well but 2,000 Hits for mid-tier payoff hurts value versus Knight or Hero at lower costs.

D tier — grind trophies

Shadow (5,000 Hits) and Vampire (7,500 Hits)

Shadow Ball and Vampire Drain look flashy but require enormous Hit investment before they match Hero or Psychic efficiency. Commit only if you love the fantasy — see full move lists on How to Unlock Abilities.

Wind (0 Hits)

Tutorial tier by design. Replace ASAP with Fire at 25 Hits.
