Reach the top free milestone, land claws safely, and time Drain so sustain wins long piles.

Vampire Ability Guide

Vampire is the highest published free Hit unlock on most Ability Arena roster tables: 7,500 Hits, with Claw Damage (E), Vampire Dash (Q), and Drain (R) health steal. In Anime Ability Arena branding, that makes Vampire the end of the standard free ladder before special cases like Cursed and before premium passes.

Use this page once Shadow is unlocked or you are plotting the final grind. Checklist: Hits Checklist. Accelerator: Double Hits.

How Vampire wants to fight

Vampire is a close-range sustain skirmisher. You win by:

  1. Dashing into claw range on already-softened targets.
  2. Clawing for Hit volume and pressure.
  3. Draining when you can finish the grab without getting slammed mid-animation.
  4. Exiting to cover if the pile turns (Combat Tips, Arena Map Tips).

Drain is not a panic heal from across the map — miss the grab and you are stuck in claw range against Psychic Slam or premium burst.

Path to 7,500

Typical story:

  • Comfort main at mid Hits (Psychic, Lightning, Knight).
  • Shadow celebration at 5,000 (Shadow Ability).
  • Final 2,500 with Double Hits if you play daily.
  • Vampire unlock, then decide whether to chase Cursed rumors or premium kits.

There are still no codes that skip this grind (Codes Hub).

Counters and matchups

  • Keep distance vs Vampire; force dashes early.
  • Interrupt Drain with burst or Slam when they commit.
  • Ledge knock Vampire off before Drain connects.
  • On mobile, claw kits feel strong — still respect One Punch and Sorcerer (One Punch, Sorcerer).

After the free ladder

Practice plan

Two lives claws only on low HP; two lives Drain-focused; two lives full kit with dash discipline. Note how many Drains actually heal versus get interrupted.

Vampire is the free roster’s endurance exam. Reach it with honest Hits — then decide if premium spice is worth more Robux than another week of Double Hits value already paid.

Session plan for new Vampire players

First lives: claws only on already-chipped targets so you learn range without greed. Next lives: practice Drain only when the target is isolated near a wall or after your Dash lands. Final lives: full kit with ledge awareness — claw pressure still dies to voids. Track how many Drains heal versus get interrupted; that ratio tells you whether Vampire fits your lobby denseness better than Shadow Ball poke.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Anime Ability Arena on Roblox.

How many Hits to unlock Vampire?

Public tables list Vampire at 7,500 Hits. Verify the live unlock popup after patches — do not trust outdated blogs over the roster.

What does Drain do?

R move: grab an enemy and steal health to heal yourself. It requires commit range — whiffs are punishing and leave you open to Slam or premium burst.

Is Vampire stronger than Shadow?

Different tools. Shadow has Ball poke and Slam AoE; Vampire has claws and sustain. Lobby density and preference decide the main.

Can codes unlock Vampire?

No. No confirmed code system as of August 2026. Hits (and optional Double Hits) are the only honest path.

Should I buy Sorcerer instead of grinding Vampire?

Only if you want that premium fantasy now. Vampire remains free; Sorcerer is a separate pass — read both guides and confirm Store prices before spending.
